2. The Way of Adventure by Jeff Salz PHD ( My copy of this book was signed by Jeff at a conference he spoke at in San Antonio, Texas on 9/10/07) He dedicated my copy to Paul Jr.
3. Hope for Every Moment by T.D. Jakes (also allows journaling on the pages)
4. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom (Paul's Christmas gift to me in 1999)
5. A Grief Observed by C.S. Lewis ( CS Lewis own feelings of his loss)
6. The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch (the audio version is very moving) http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/LastLecture/ (how Randy prepared his family.)
7. Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren (Paul is reading in the photo) Paul read the Daily Devotionals everyday and suggested I do.
8. Peace, Love and Healing by Bernie Siegel MD (Paul loved this book)
9. The Worst Loss, How Families Heal from the Death of a Child by Barbara Rosof
10. Nights In Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks. (I read all of N. Sparks books, but this one & the movie) has strong messages of love, loss and understanding ) ironically all take place in NC.
11. A Year by the Sea by Joan Anderson
12. Journey Through Heartsongs by Mattie Stepanek (passed away at age 14)
13. Out Of Africa by Isak Dinesan. (A woman learns much about herself and what it takes to be strong )
14. The Power of Kindness by Piero Ferrucci (covers it all) When all is said and done- we will be remembered for our kindness to others.
15. Forgiveness by Dr. Sidney B. Simon ( frees us to live in peace in the present)
16. Let's Roll by Lisa Beamer - one of the widows of 9-11. Thousands of families were torn apart that day- and this inspiring story shows a woman's incredible determination to rebuild her life from her losses.
17. True Compass a memoir by Edward Kennedy, I grew up studying the Kennedy family and was always inspired by the unbreakable bonds they shared. Through all the triumphs and tragedies of their history, Senator Kennedy tells his amazing story of his life & what unconditional love can accomplish.
